Tower Gardens

Wednesday 27 to Sunday 31 July, 11am

Riverside Festival, a prestigious date on the York events calendar, returns this week. Our friends and event organisers,  The Arts Barge will be setting up shop there once again, laying on music, food, drink and artsy stuff. As a special treat, they’ll also be serving their York Brew real ale: Beery McBeerface.

And now for something truly different: a collection of ambient, drone, beat & found sounds in an 11th century church. Open your mind to a new aural experience like none other and, at the same time, enjoy a historic location and help raise funds for York’s Stained Glass centre – win, win, win.

The Damned
Fibbers
Wednesday 3 August, 7.30pm
Punk rockers The Damned are back in York next week to perform a headline set at Fibbers. We caught them last year at the same venue (check out our review here) and thought they were marvellous live, so head on down and grab your tickets asap, as they tend to sell out quickly.
