Kymberley Kennedy is due to support melodic duo Meadowlark on their UK headline tour in October to celebrate their debut album, Postcards.
Postcards brings together some of Meadowlark’s previously released tracks (including Headlights, Eyes Wide, Satellite) alongside brand new material written during various retreats the pair took around the UK, working from any cottage they could find that had a piano. Free from distractions and loaded up with ideas gathered from observing the world around them, they used such spaces to craft the songs that form Postcards. Once recorded, Meadowlark then teamed up with Spike Stent (Haim, Chvches, Massive Attack) to mix the songs and ensure Postcards is everything they had hoped it could be.
Meadowlark (Kate McGill and Dan Broadley) embark on a UK headline tour in September and October with support from York’s own RnB starlet Kymberley Kennedy and her band Miles Williams (guitar) and Steve Wilkinson (piano) performing fan favourites Make Me Wanna and Head Games and their take on Chris Isaak’s Wicked Game. Meadowlark and Kymberley Kennedy are joined by and acoustic duo The Bronze at Fibbers in York on 9 October in what promises to be a night of spine tingling music.
