hd hausmann is a new project from Grass House’s Liam Palmer bringing spoken word poetry to an indie-americana style.
By Graeme Smith
New track Recognise Faces has a touch of the Leonard Cohen to it. Liam delivers his poetry with a compelling drone and a gravelly voice. At first listen there doesn’t seem to be much to this track, but it grips you and you are pulled into its depths. By halfway through, it’s your new favourite track. It’s simple and trance-inducing.
hd hausmann is, at its heart, a duo, with Liam being joined by bass guitarist Alex Oates. There feels like there’s huge potential in the project and I for one can’t wait to hear what they do next. Check out Recognise Faces below.
