Triple Down Love is the new video from Norwegian MC Ivan Ave and it’s a compellingly bizarre one.

Let me say from the off, Ivan Ave’s style is not for everyone. I wasn’t sure what to make of it at first, particularly as his slow-burner video takes a couple of minutes to get into the track proper. Even when he got into full flow, I still wasn’t sure what to make of it, but something stopped me from switching off.

Triple Down Love has a moody bass line accompanying Ivan’s stream of consciousness rap-style. There’s a old school ’90s feel to his style, and also a sense that he’s not taking himself too seriously.
