The Lowest Pair are an Americana duo from Washington state, US whose forthcoming debut album was produced by Mike Mogis of Bright Eyes fame.

The Bright Eyes connection was definitely what drew me to The Lowest Pair’s new track Wild Animals. There is definitely a comparison to be made in their sound, though The Lowest Pair are definitely more on the banjo-plucking side of Americana. Wild Animals is drearily atmospheric and combines the vocals of band members Kendl Winter and Palmer T. Lee to great effect.
Both artists have released albums on Conor Oberst’s (also of Bright Eyes) label Team Love. Together, I think they have a winning combination. Check out Wild Animals for yourself below.
