Wesley Joseph is a British contemporary R&B artist from London whose quickfire delivery had me hooked.
By Graeme Smith
His new track Imaginary Friends combines drums, an eerie backing track with fast-flowing rap verses. It’s a simple but effective construction that envelopes you as you listen. There’s some real talent on display and it is infinitely listenable.
The track was written when Wesley first relocated to London and written at night when, according to him, he does his best work. You really get the sense of the mystery and uncertainty of night in the composition. Check out Imaginary Friends below.
