Tomi Saario is a Finnish singer songwriter whose emotional pop side will have you falling for him.

His new track Don’t Hurt Yourself starts out like a typical pop track. Tomi’s emotive, almost whispered vocals would fit nicely on any commercial radio playlist. What sets him apart for me is the well-constructed lyrics. It’s a simple story and being in love with someone who’s with the wrong person but Tomi delivers it with authenticity.

In the first instance I know of, the video was constructed remotely, with Tomi in Finland the videographer Max Motel in Berlin. It’s truly a video for the covid-19 era. Check it out below.
