Pezzettino is a California-based bedroom pop artist whose new track Somewhere North of Pescadero gave me an instant chill.

There’s a beauty in simplicity. Somewhere North of Pescadero is a case in point. The track is made up of a sombre piano melody and Pezzettino’s barely audible vocals. Quiet vocals are usually a cardinal sin to my ears but the way their deployed here are highly effective. I’m drawn in and, for a three and half minutes, they have my undivided attention.

A simple accompanying video displays wildlife images with coloured squares as a kind of visual therapy. Somewhere North of Pescadero is the ultimate chill track to wind down after a stressful week. Check it out below.
