The Echo Collective are a Belgian neoclassical act who have created a richness of texture from two instruments in their new track The See Within.

The bedrock of the piece is harp – floating and nostalgic as it comes in waves. It meets with mournful cello slowly bowed before a single plucked bass note reverberates across the aural landscape. For such an ambient piece to hold such atmosphere, texture and surprise twists is quite the achievement. I found The See Within to be utterly compelling.
