Amelia Coburn is a British singer songwriter who has just hit my radar though she’s not really a discovery. Having been nominated in BBC Radio 2’s Young Folk Awards, she’s already built a reputation for herself in the British folk scene.

Her new track Dublin Serenade was inspired by a dusk to dawn stay in Ireland’s capital city. It’s a breezy, jazzy number. There’s a strong narrative peopled with interesting characters and imagery and it was this storytelling that really enchanted me. That and Amelia’s charming vocals.
Having already appeared at major folk festivals, fingers crossed that things are a little more open next summer so we can catch Amelia perform live. I imagine it’s quite a treat.
In the meantime, check out Dublin Serenade below.
