We discovered Harrogate electro pop act Litany back in September and I was impressed with their pop sensibilities and frontwoman Beth Cornell’s soaring vocals. I’m pleased to say their back on the blog with another example of pop perfection, Uh-huh.
By Graeme Smith
Uh-huh is characterised by funky bass and sexually-charged lyrics. There is some great imagery and double-entendre on display with allusions to Tetris and free-floating orbits.
The track is simply a well crafted piece of pop, and it’s no surprise. For Uh-huh, Beth teamed up with producer Fyfe – who has previously worked with Gabrielle Aplin and Mika – and James New – who has worked with Caroline Polachek and Florence + The Machine.
If you like any of those acts, you’re probably going to like what Litany is putting out. Check out Uh-huh below.
