Hannah Scott is a London-based electronic pop artist whose new track Drawn To Darkness combines her angelic vocals with folky acoustic guitar and echoing layers of electronic beats.
By Graeme Smith
Hannah has a beautifully clean voice and it hides the deeper theme of Drawn To Darkness – that feeling that sometimes the things that are worst for us we find the most appealing. It was co-written by Hannah and cinematic composer Stefano Della Casa and duality feels like a running feature of the track. Folk elements are combined with electronic so that it is neither and both, much like the human being is neither wholly light nor wholly dark.
Though Hannah’s music is new to us, she’s already received plaudits from the likes of Dermot O’Leary on BBC Radio 2, The Guardian, Mojo and Clash Magazine. She’s also had music feature on an episode of the TV programme Grey’s Anatomy.
