Kowloon is an artist I can’t get enough of right now. Every time I see he has new music out it brightens up my day. His latest Hurt delves into the world of ’70s rock and disco.
By Graeme Smith
Starting with percussion and subtle bass, Kowloon’s relaxed vocals drift in to deliver the first verse. The tempo ramps up into a chorus that will get you moving. For the track Kowloon was inspired by Los Angeles in the ’70s, its natural and artificial landscapes and the excesses therein.
Hurt shows yet another side to Kowloon’s sound but he puts such care and attention into each track, delving deep into his inspirations, that they all end up feeling like classics. Check out Hurt below.
