Jon Campbell is an American singer songwriter whose new track Cruising At The End of The World was inspired by overheard conversations while riding his bike at the start of the pandemic.

It’s an interesting concept for the track. Trumpet and trombone interplay as if they are voices. The conversation runs as an undercurrent to Jon’s own vocals. There is something mundanely profound about the song’s lyrics. Echoing the sense of snatched conversation, they create a narrative that says we live our lives until we don’t.
American-born but based in Berlin, Germany, Jon released his debut EP Sirens in 2019. There’s a sense of humanity in his sound that I found really relatable. Perhaps you will too. Check out the illustrated video for Cruising At The End of The World below.
