John Mailander is a multi-instrumentalist originally from San Diego, California and now based in Nashville, Tennessee. His new track Returning combines classical elements with bluegrass to create a hopeful anthem for future, brighter days.

There’s a sense of Spring in Returning. Life slowly creeps into the record as plucked mandolin and violin melodies are poured over percussion. In a broader sense though, the track feels like the soundtrack for a post-pandemic age, with life returning to society as well.
By combining his concert hall background with the local flavour of Nashville, John has created a fresh sound that I found impossible to ignore. I hope you agree and that Returning adds a lightness to your day and a spring in your step. Check it out below.
