Bristolian indie rock artist Milo Gore’s new track Midnight Club is full of nostalgia on several levels. Musically, it harks back to early ’00s indie pop. Lyrically, it tells the story being young and reckless. Culturally, it reminds me of pre-pandemic, when nightclubs were still open.

The track is created by lively drums, frenetic guitar riffs and Milo’s melodic vocals. The upbeat energy hides a dark heart though. The lyrical story points towards that feeling of ignoring consequences, knowing that they will eventually catch up with you – the folly of youth.
Hailing from Bristol, Milo has been shouted out by the local BBC Introducing and has been named as a ‘one to watch’ for 2021. I can’t help but agree. He’ll definitely find an audience putting out music like Midnight Club. Check it out below. If you like your music upbeat have a listen to our (‘Til The Weekend) Comes Round Again playlist on Spotify.
