Emma Johnson is a Leeds-based jazz saxophonist who I first featured on the blog in June last year. She and her Gravy Boat have produced a new video in time for Summer. It’s called Sun Stones.

Sun Stones is a laid-back number. The melody washes in and out like waves on a sandy beach. Emma’s saxophone kicks things up, creating a dance party on that musical beach. The sax interplays with double bass, drums and keys for a wonderfully textured and groovy track. The accompanying video mixes seaside scenes with live performance.
The track is the first single taken from the band’s upcoming debut album Worry Not which is set to be released on 2 July this year. Check out the video for Sun Stones below.
