Regular readers will have seen the name Gifts From Crows appear several times in my articles. The neoclassical composer, real name Richard Laurence, has become one of my most shared artists and I always look forward to new releases by him.

The latest is an orchestral version of one of my favourite tracks from his recent album Holding A Thought Forever – As Nature Returns. Performed by the Northern Film Orchestra, they breathe a whole new sense of life into a track that is ostensibly about life and its ability to persevere.
The sentiment is apt on another level as well. The orchestral version of the piece has been long-delayed by COVID, so to see it finally released as lockdowns ease adds weight to the theme.
