Gal Musette, real name Grace Freeman, is an indie folk singer songwriter whose new video Summertime is an bittersweet ode to Summer and its tribulations.

Summertime is bright and breezy. Grace’s vocals are delicate and charming and her tale of summer’s effects are beautifully described, avoiding the usual cliché. The accompanying video features Grace performing in a number of natural locations, awash with sun and with an undercurrent of humour.
Hailing from California, Grace created her musical alter-ego Gal Musette in her early teens, taking the name from the accordion-based French waltz style bal-musette. Audiences loved her music so much she was asked to open for the Magnetic Fields aged only 14.
Summertime is the second single taken from her forthcoming album Backwards Lullaby, due out in October. Check out the video below.
