Marbl is an Israeli artist we’ve featured a couple of times before on the blog. She has a habit of capturing our attention through charming videos and beautifully intimate acoustic folk pop.

Her latest is a break up song which hones in on the specific phenomenon of what someone you used to love leaves behind in your heart. It’s a beautifully measured-out song, with minimal instrumentals and a steady progression to an emotive climax. The song was written around the same time as It’s Always Our O’Clock Somewhere, a track I recently shared, and there is a similar message according to Marbl – “love is the energy of life”.
In the video, the lingering memories are represented as a dark cloud that follows Marbl around before reaching a happy conclusion. You can check it out below.
