5-piece ska band Skandals is back at Bootham Tavern on Friday September 10th from 9-11pm.

Based in Scarborough, Robin Hood’s Bay and Whitby, Skandals play ska favourites from Jamaican originals through 2 Tone to ska-punk, including popular favourites such as Lip Up Fatty, Gangsters, Too Much Too Young and Message to You, Rudi.

With a focus on giving an audience a great, fun night out, the band has played pubs, venues and festivals along the North Yorkshire Coast for more than five years.

Skandals recently released two original songs, Don’t Look Now and Unity, both available through the usual streaming services and on the band’s website skandalsband.uk. More will follow and may be previewed on this night.

The band members are Alethea (vocals), Johnny (guitar), Paul (bass), Lennie (sax & keys) and John (e-drums).
