Rhona MacFarlane is an acoustic folk singer songwriter from Glasgow, Scotland whose gently atmospheric new track No Rain caught my attention.

I was simply enchanted by Rhona’s beautiful and expressive vocals in No Rain, but what really lingered for me was the story weaved into its lyrics. Grounded yet euphoric, it creates an image of a world much like our own but existing on another plane.
The track is taken from Rhona’s forthcoming EP Closing The Window and was produced by Matt Ingram – a producer who has previously worked with Laura Marling. Fans of Laura will certainly enjoy Rhona’s music too, as would fans of Joni Mitchell, one of Rhona’s main influences.
Closing The Window is set for release on 12 November and you can listen to No Rain below.
