The Bigfoot Collective stomped onto my radar last summer through their two knockout tracks Bigfoot Strut and Just For Me. They’re now back on the blog with a new piece of marching jazz. It’s called Boak’s Blues.

The Bigfoot Collective hail from Adelaide in Australia and Boak’s Blues is a tribute to their local Australian footy club Port Adelaide FC. Inspired by the club’s “March from the Mall” Boak’s Blues was written by Mallory Steele to recreate the feeling of the march. For those not familiar with AFL (like me) the track’s name comes from Adelaide legend Travis Boak.
In terms of the music, it’s everything I’ve come to expect from The Bigfoot Collective – lively brass and percussion, nicely varied and creating a feeling of dynamism. You can check out Boak’s Blues below.
