Nuala Honan is a Bristol-based singer songwriter whose sound compares to the likes of Sharon Van Etten, Angel Olsen and Feist. Her latest, inventive track I’m Alright caught my ear.

What captured me the most about I’m Alright is just how darned catchy it is. Staccato moments of guitar and percussion come and go while Nuala’s soothing vocals are ever present. Her style and writing just ooze charisma and there’s a hint of classic rock and roll in her sound that feels universal.
Though now based in Bristol, Nuala originates from the Australian outback. After impressing in her homeland, she moved to the UK when she was nineteen years old, finding a home in the Bristol live scene.
You can check out I’m Alright below. If you like what you hear, you can catch Nuala live in York on 19 November, along with This Is The Kit at The Citadel.
