Discovery: The Confederation

The Confederation are a pop and soul collective based in Coventry whose atmospheric and storytelling new track That’s Where You’ll Find Me caught my attention.

By Graeme Smith

With lively drums and wah-wah guitar, That’s Where You’ll Find Me has a classic funk feel to it. Vocalist Lynz Crichton proves a soulful overlay and it all comes together to create something truly enveloping.

Among the band’s influences are Prince, Morcheeba and Motown and fans of them will find a lot to love in The Confederation’s sound. I was also reminded of local singer songwriter and York Calling favourite Alanna Lyes. That’s Where You’ll Find Me is certainly a track I’ll be returning to time and time again. You can hear it below.
