New Music: Moody Jr. – Letting Light In

Moody Jr., real name Paul Moody, is a folk singer songwriter who I first discovered last Autumn through his autobiographical album Songs From Youth. I’m was so pleased to see he had a new track out. It’s called Letting Light In.

By Graeme Smith

In Letting Light In, Paul hasn’t lost any of his storytelling ability and I found the poetry and image-laden lyrics absolutely mesmerising. The story unfolds against a peaceful and pensive instrumental arrangement, lead by guitar and with subtle electronic textures, and delivers a message of hopeful change.

Among his influences, Paul cites Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell and fans of any of those artists will find a lot to love from his music. You can hear Letting Light In below.
