Rowe is an indie folk singer songwriter based in London whose honest new track Apple caught my attention.

Apple speaks of the pressures of society placed upon women, from expectations of motherhood to misogyny. The story is told with echoing electro-acoustic guitar and Rowe’s soft and captivating vocals. The instrumentals, courtesy of Anna Baily on trumpet, Tom Issac on bass and Emelie Eckerud on drums, create a dreamy and emotive soundscape.
Rowe released her first EP Neptune in 2018 and since then has been gaining attention online and via BBC Introducing. She certainly has a sound and song writing style that sets her apart from her contemporaries. I’ll be watching her career with interest.
