Video: Isolated Corners – I Know Something That I Shouldn’t

Isolated Corners is the alternative rock project of Exeter-based musician Edward Tucker. Inspired by Black Midi, and Black Country, New Road, and likened to Idles and Queens of The Stone Age, his latest track and video is called I Know Something That I Shouldn’t.

By Graeme Smith

It’s a track that hits you from the outset, with a groovy rhythm section and experimentally-layered vocals. As well as the aforementioned bands, the distorted bass certainly had a touch of Death From Above 1979 about it, and there’s a certain indie rock flavour to his sound too, akin to Franz Ferdinand. Whoever you liken him to, he’s certainly producing music that’s compelling and fun to listen to. What more can you ask for?

If you’re a fan of Big Lava, you might already be familiar with Edward. He’s the band’s bassist. This is his first solo release and I certainly hope there’s more to come. You can check out the video for I Know Something That I Shouldn’t below.
