Estella Dawn is a Denver, USA-based indie pop singer songwriter who we have featured a few times before on the blog. Her latest takes on the subject of “chameleon daters”. It’s called Buzzcut.

Buzzcut starts with a swagger, declaring “you better know you’re lucky, you’ve got your hands on me.” From there it has a Latin-jazz infused pop arrangement and the kind of deep cutting lyrics that I’ve come to expect from Estella’s music. She’s certainly a cut above the norm when it comes to modern pop.

Originally hailing from New Zealand, Estella has found her home in the Midwest of the US. Buzzcut is the first single release from her forthcoming debut album, due out later this year. You can check it out below.
