Rivals are an American emo rock band who first hit our radar around this time last year through their killer team up with Dutch Melrose, Change Things. It’s a track that still randomly runs through my head now, such is the testament to its earworm nature. As such, I was excited when I saw they had a new track and video out. It’s called Dark Matter.

Dark Matter starts quiet but quickly hits hard with big, scuzzy guitar riffs and monster percussion. Front woman Kalie Wolfe takes centre stage as always; with her expressive vocals she’ll seduce you to the dark side.

With a US tour just kicking off, Rivals are certainly on the rise. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re storming international charts very soon. You can check out the video for Dark Matter below.
