Art.eria are a Spanish ensemble who creates experimental cinematic music the likes of which I’ve never heard before. They’ve just released their debut album Acoustic Electronic Ensemble, featuring eight of their creations. Included among them is album opener Enrarecerse.
By Graeme Smith
In Enrarecerse, Art.eria combine live strings, piano and flute with an electronic arrangement. The result is something not quite classical and not quite Avant Garde but sitting somewhere between to the two with its own timeless nature. The percussion feels like a ticking clock over which the gentle, sporadic piano notes play. Long bass and bright notes provide depth and texture. It’s all beautifully done.
You can check out Enrarecerse below, and listen to the whole album Acoustic Electronic Ensemble on Spotify.
