Eleri Ward is a New York, USA-based singer songwriter whose music I was introduced to through her EP Friction last year. She’s now back on the blog with a new track, exploring how restrictive the idea of flawlessness can be. It’s called Perfect.

Perfect is pop with a timeless feel. Drawing on influences that span from the ’50s to today, it seems to exist in a world and era all of its own. Eleri’s vocals are wonderfully emotive and expressive, changing up between the verse and chorus to great effect. Above all, Perfect is a catchy yet unconventional pop wonder.
It feels as if Eleri is on the verge of blowing up on the international scene. She’s chalked down to support Josh Groban on his Summer tour this year and she’s been picked up by prestigious outlets such as Forbes. Remember the name and check out Perfect below.
And if you like your music on the unconventional side, be sure to follow our Decomposition playlist on Spotify.
