David Baron and Fiona Glenn are a Woodstock, USA-based alternative pop duo who we’ve featured before on the blog. For their last track we shared, they teamed up with hit pop singer songwriter Donna Lewis (I Love You Always Forever) and Donna once again features as part of their song writing team for their new release, Champion.
By Graeme Smith
Fiona takes the mic for Champion and the seventeen-year-old impresses with her natural and charismatic style. Perhaps what is most striking about Champion though is David Baron’s dramatic and unusual instrumental arrangement and production, particularly during a stand out chorus where the drums are rousing and the melody memorable.
The song writing team took inspiration from Olympian Simone Biles for the track, who kept her chin high even when facing a barrage of criticism from people who had never been anywhere near an Olympic event, let alone medalled. It’s a beautiful anthem for anyone who needs reminding of how strong they are.
You can find out more about the track and other great music on the Here And Now Recordings website, and you can check out Champion below.
