Nalgo Bay are an alternative rock duo who hail from just up the road in Scarborough. Though the duo is new to us, one half of it isn’t. Terri-Ann Prendergast has featured on our pages before as a solo act with quite a different sound. Teaming up with Harry Bullen, the pair make pop rock akin to Snow Patrol, Florence & The Machine, and Fleetwood Mac. Their latest track is called Amsterdam.

Amsterdam opens high-energy, mixing rock, pop and folk elements in its first verse. Then, a soft, soulful lull changes things up just before a singalong chorus that will stick you. It somehow feels both classic and inventive. This is a really strong offering from a local act.
Nalgo Bay have already been picked up by BBC Introducing York and Amazing Radio and you can add us to their list of fans. I hope you will be too. You can check out Amsterdam below.
