Akso Heart is a London-based pop and R&B artist who has caught my attention through his tale of self-discovery. It’s called Not Easy.

Not Easy acknowledges that change is tough. As such, it’s suitably pensive and contemplative. A mellow, sparse electronic arrangement opens things up before Akso’s expressive vocals come in. A calming balm, his voice takes the edge off the sense of conflict in the lyrics and all the emotion spills out in an explosive, cathartic chorus.
Akso came to music in an unexpected way. He spent his younger years pursuing science but was inspired by the creative culture of Japan to give birth to his music-making alter ego. I, for one, am glad he did. Not Easy is a beautiful track. You can check it out below.
