Discovery: Jack Swing

Hailing from Pittsburgh, USA, Jack Swing are a classic rock five piece who have caught my attention through their lively new track Into The Sun.

Into The Sun is the kind of track that hits you straight away with its bright mood. The riffs are big and echoey while the rhythm is kept funky. Soulful vocals join in, bring with them an emotional depth. Despite its brightness, Into The Sun isn’t just throwaway rock pop – it’s music with a message. That message is: don’t sweat the small stuff and enjoy life for what it is.

Jack Swing started up in 2016 with founding members vocalist and guitarist Isaiah Ross and bassist Rowdy Kanarek. They then added Jonah Handler on guitar, Isaiah Small on keys, and Alex Nelson on drums, collectively influenced by classic rock acts like Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin, as well as contemporaries like The Strokes and Kendrick Lamar.

Into The Sun is the first single to be taken from their forthcoming debut album. You can give the track a listen below.
