Issac Neilson is a Buxton-based dream pop singer songwriter who I first featured on the blog earlier this year through his debut single The Fall. Now he’s back with a new one that promises to help you forget your troubles. It’s called Deep As A River.
By Graeme Smith
Deep As A River is a moody track that combines indie rock sensibilities with classical elements but perhaps its standout feature is the gentle vocals. Issac takes the lead, and female harmonies provide a sense of texture. As the track progresses, the drama is ramped up, reaching an all-encompassing climax.
It’s another wonderful track from an artist who’s showing a lot of promise for someone just starting out. I’ll be keeping a close eye on him. You can listen to Deep As A River below.
