Paul Moody, aka Moody Jr, is an artist who I first discovered for the blog last autumn through his delightful album Songs From Youth. Now the Woodstock, USA-based folk singer songwriter is back with a new one. It’s called Cocaine Angel.
By Graeme Smith
Cocaine Angel is a track that will break your heart with its story of love and excess. Paul’s lyrics are what brings it to life, painting a picture of seedy bars and doomed romance. His vocals bring the emotion, smooth and expressive, while a traditional folk arrangement makes the track feel warmly familiar.
It’s another wonderful offering from an artist who is a must listen for anyone who loves modern folk. You can check out Cocaine Angel below.
