Discovery: Katherine Nora

Katherine Nora is a Oxfordshire and London-based indie folk singer songwriter who takes her influences from the likes of Maggie Rogers, Norah Jones and Laura Marling. I’ve just discovered her through her debut, warm weather-loving track. It’s called Bloom.

Bloom invites us to connect with the natural world and, as such, has a soft and organic feel about it. Katherine’s delicate, expressive vocals paint a picture of a summer through the first verse. As the track progresses, the drama and power of the instrumentals builds, feeling like a rising sun on a beautiful day. It’s enough to melt even the coldest heart in the middle of winter.

Prior to releasing her own music, Katherine has performed alongside Frank Turner and co-written tracks with Lorana and LUCE. I can’t wait for her to release more of her own music, and I hope you’ll agree. You can check out Bloom below.
