New Music: HD Hausmann – Home

We’ve been following Driffield-born, London-based Liam Palmer’s music since 2019, and his track Far Unseen is one that I’ve returned to time and time again. He’s just released his latest with his collective HD Hausmann, a song about building something for the future. It’s called Home.

By Graeme Smith

Home has a DIY kind of feel about it, akin to the likes of My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive and Wilco. Fuzzy riffs meet plodding bass and gentle percussion to create the kind of rock you can sway to.

Liam says he and the band wanted to have fun with the track and that shows. Each note is brimming with joy and charisma. Sharing the mic on this track is Elle Wade, who is based just over the other side of the Humber estuary in Grimsby. The combination of vocals is a treat.
