Discovery: Jeremy M

Jeremy M is a York-based alternative pop artist who has just hit my radar through his darkly emotive new track Boys Don’t Cry.

Boys Don’t Cry starts with a metronomic beat and percussive textures. It creates a strong and immediate world in which Jeremy’s soulful, ethereal vocals float. There is a powerful emotional mix, combining sadness with defiance. As the track progresses, rock elements come in, throwing off its shackles and hitting a cathartic climax.

Jeremy is still early in his career but has been impressing local media outfits like YorkMix Radio. He’s got a unique sound and isn’t afraid to get real with his lyrics. I think he’ll go far. You can check out Boys Don’t Cry below.
