Jon Doe are a Heidelberg, Germany-based indie pop group that have just caught my attention through their jazzy and feelgood track Othello.

You can tell straight away you’re getting something different from Jon Doe. A complex but easy-listening instrumental arrangement merges genre – it’s indie pop but not as you know it. Smooth vocals ease your passage through the track’s poetic story and its groove will have you nodding along.

With a growing fanbase and some favourable coverage for previous releases, Jon Doe are a growing prospect on the indie scene. They’ve definitely got all they need to be very successful. I’ll be keeping an eye on their career with interest.
