Followers of the blog will know Rachel Croft’s music well. We’ve been following her performances and releases pretty much since we started. The last couple of years have seen her star on the rise, with an inclusion on the soundtrack of Netflix show Rebel Cheer Squad alongside featuring on BBC 2. Today she releases the follow up to July’s Hurricane. It’s called Weaver Bird.

Weaver Bird is an intimate track, opening with a dark, haunting guitar riff, Rachel’s unmistakable vocals come in. They tell a tale rich with natural imagery, encouraging the listener to get lost in Rachel’s alternative world. Paired with Hurricane, the two tracks beautifully demonstrate Rachel’s range, which encompasses folk, rock and blues in equal measure.
