The One Eighties are an American duo that first came to our attention over the summer through their impressive debut single Dead Star Light. True to form, they’re back with another that’s equally captivating. It’s called No King.

No King answers the question of what you get when you mix disco with Americana and pop. The result is something that feels very unique. At once you can dance to it while feeling the melancholia that so often comes with country music. It feels both retro and right at home in the modern musical landscape. It’s quite a feat!

The One Eighties are a truly indie act, and No King was written and produced in their home studio. With such an exciting sound, the only way is up for the pair.
