New Music: Isaac Neilson – Tear This Down

Isaac Neilson is a Buxton-based indie rock artist who first hit my radar this Spring thanks to his nostalgic debut The Fall. He followed that with the dream pop Summer release Deep As A River. Now he’s back with another. It’s called Tear This Down.

By Graeme Smith

Tear This Down is lively indie rock, with a memorable guitar riff forming a foundation over which Isaac’s passionate vocals float. It’s a solid song in its own right, but is nicely elevated by its production team, which includes MPG and GRAMMY award-winning producers, mixers and masterers.

Since his debut, Isaac has been going from strength to strength, with features on various BBC Introducing programmes and BBC Radio 4’s Loose Ends, not to mention all the festival appearances. It’s easy to see why with bangers like Tear This Down. You can give it a listen below.
