New York, USA-based indie pop and rock artist Faerie, real name Christine Lam, has appeared before on our blog, but not since Spring last year when I discovered her through her dreamy track Re: Invite To The Moon. It’s great to welcome her back with her new, wonderous track K-town.

While Re: Invite To The Moon felt nebulous, K-town has an altogether more earthly dance groove. Touches of retro disco mingle with pop sensibilities and it’s all tied together by Christine’s soft and charming vocals. Under the bright instrumentals is a heavy cocktail of emotion in the lyrics – nostalgia meets suppressed trauma.

K-town is another wonderful offering from an artist who I’d love to hear more from. I’d nearly forgotten just how good she is – this is a timely reminder. You can check out the lyric video below.
