In Woman, Thea’s goes deep in her exploration of what it means to be female-identifying. It’s a topic that’s often only engaged with shallowly in the media and public debate, and Thea makes the point that what it means to be a woman is so often misunderstood. If you find yourself confused by the concept of femininity, listen carefully. Yet, contrasting the depth of its lyrics, Woman is musically very accessible, with a smooth and soulful arrangement that feels ecclesiastical during its climactic moments.
The track proves a wonderful introduction for us to an artist that is bringing something fresh and powerful to pop and RnB. You can check out Woman below.
