Haley Fishberger is a Los Angeles, USA-based pop singer songwriter who has just hit my radar courtesy of her rebuttal to female objectification. It’s called Sweetheart.

Sweetheart opens in a gentle, dreamy style that quickly develops into something more seething as its lyrical story develops. Though it channels classic pop influences – Carly Simon’s You’re So Vain comes to mind – there’s something truly unique-feeling about it. Haley has created perfect pop with it, with a fresh style and something to say.
