Yorkshire’s own Kindelan has just released her second single since her recent name change, building on last month’s The Other Side. An intimate account of the waxes and wanes of a relationship, it’s called Hazel Frustration.

If you’ve been following our blog awhile, you might know Kindelan better as Laura Kindelan, the York-based singer songwriter who has graced our pages plenty of times over the years. The name change was prompted by a new style that introduces jazz and soul elements akin to Lianne La Havas.

Hazel Frustration is a dreamy piece of acoustic RnB that bubbles with an undercurrent of anger and heartbreak. Kindelan’s vocals bring the emotion to life beautifully, particularly during a powerful, cathartic climax. It’s yet more evidence that she really is one to watch on the UK underground scene.
