Hyde Away are a Bishop’s Stortford-based indie rock band who have just caught my attention thanks to their tale of tangled love. It’s called Emily.

Emily opens like a crooning ballad before hitting a gentle indie rock stride. I found myself nodding along right from the first chorus, and getting lost in its story of heartache, misplaced love and soap-like drama. Hyde Away certainly have a way with words, and their sound is instantly accessible.
